Harold loved the Lord and served as deacon since 1965 also singing in the Baptist church choir. In 1954, he was invited to spring training with the St. Louis Cardinals and was a lifelong baseball fan He was a 32nd degree Mason and enjoyed family vacations. His favorite job was working concessions at Silver Dollar City. Harold will be remembered for the full, fun life he led.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter, Linda Lee Myers; and a granddaughter, Nikki Litzau.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Evadene Myers of the home; daughter, Janis Derrington of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Rhonda Litzau of Kimberling City, Missouri; a granddaughter, Tori Litzau of Overland Park, Kansas; a brother, Duane Myers of Irving, Texas; a sister-in-law, Laveda Ferren of Troy, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 and celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Kimberling City, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Hardy and Pastor Paul Greene officiating.
