George Joseph Cardini, age 80, of Branson, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He was born July 3, 1937, in Bristol, Connecticut, the son of George and Jean (Bolzoni) Cardini, who have preceded him in death.

George loved to spend time fishing, golfing and exploring the new “best restaurant in town!” He also enjoyed jumping into his GMC Yukon and venturing out for long road trips.

He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren: Amanda, Joseph, Cristina, Robbie, Bianca, Elizabeth, Toni, Gianna, and Melina; a brother, former Lieutenant Colonel and Battalion Commander in the 82nd Airborne Division, Robert (Jane) Cardini of Wilmington, North Carolina; and a niece, Amy Cardini; as well as a long list of lifelong friends with whom George considered as close as family.

George, my best friend, the only person who could keep up with me. We worked together, had fun together, fished. Fished and fished!
He loved Mississippi, the chandelier islands, raw oysters, Florida the back bays of Panama City.
We worked together on and off all over the world for 50 years.
He was 10 years my senior and bounced down to me all to expect as we grew older. Last thing he said to me was don’t ever get a knee replacement! I miss you George, I love you. Your friend Gary Montgomery. PS hope u remembered to look up John 3:16.
