Known for her generosity, Alice was a heartfelt, kind and giving person. She was one of those bigger than life people. She never met a stranger, always a little loud, perpetually cheerful and a heart as big as Montana (the place that she loved the most). Alice adored Sarah and her precious pets: Pitch, Bri and Tilley. She took great pride in caring for their home and in her work as a chef. Alice was an avid golfer and loved sports. She graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Iowa, where she was a state champion in discus for track. Alice also played basketball and softball in both high school and college. The world will truly miss Alice and her generosity and care for others.
She was preceded in death by her father and by a brother, Kevin Hess.
Alice is survived by her loving wife, Sarah McCrea; her mother, Patricia Weber; her stepdad, Greg Weber; a brother, Arthur Edmund Hess; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins from Texas, Montana, Iowa, Colorado and Minnesota; as well as her friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. May 6, 2017, at the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church in Branson, Missouri, with Wendell Croswaite officiating.
