Anne loved flower gardening and reading, she enjoyed science and nature and she was a mother to children beyond her own. She was a Girl Scout leader, loved feeding wild birds, breeding orchids and African violets. Anne loved her cats. She even learned to water and snow ski, despite having polio. She was a volunteer with the Telephone Pioneers of America, S.W. Chapter #136.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Anne is survived by her husband Clarence Reece of the home; three sons, Ken Reece and wife Lori of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Michael Reece of Sunnyvale, California, Daniel Thies and wife Edna of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; a daughter, Barbara Kempf and husband Gary of Kansas City, Missouri; as well as four grandchildren.
