She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Sharon Hills, Phyllis Klinger and Maxine Berg.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert E. Johnson of the home; a son Brian Johnson of Branson, Missouri; a daughter Becki Johnson of Forsyth, Missouri; three brothers and their wives, LeRoy and Jean Hills of Lindstrom, Minnesota, Harold and Betty Hills of Forest Lake, Minnesota and Darwin and Nancy Hills of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; three sisters, Irene Faber of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, Darlene Hackman of New Richmond, Wisconsin and Carol Hills of Shoreview, Minnesota; a sister-in-law and her husband, Sharon and Ron Roettger of Lino Lakes, Minnesota as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob and Barb moved to Branson in 1996 after Bob’s retirement from Andersen Windows in Bayport, Minnesota. Bob and Barb lived in Stillwater, Minnesota, most of their lives. They visited Branson and decided to retire to the Ozarks. Barb enjoyed Branson shows and Norma Jean’s Cowboy Church was the highlight of her week; it was a blessing to her. She was a longtime member. Bob and Barb enjoyed 54 years together. She will be missed by Bob, family and friends. Barb is dancing in Heaven.
A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri, with Pastor Ron Boldman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to A.S.P.C.A. in memory of Barbara. There will be another memorial service at a later time.
