He is survived by his father; two brothers, Ryan McCartney of Stover and Cameron McCartney of Wayne, New Jersey; his grandmothers, Mary Helen Simpson of Versailles and Margaret Stump of Camdenton.
Beau graduated from Jefferson City High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he served two years in Iraq. He was also a licensed cosmetologist and an avid boater and swimmer. Beau loved his dogs and they were always by his side. Known for his kind heart and smile, Beau will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, including Aunts and Uncles, Kathy Hodel (husband Art) of Camdenton, John McCartney of Columbia, Candy Jo Kirshner (husband Brad) of Wyaconda, Libby Mander (husband Rick), Dixie Salzman of Versailles, Peggy Simpson of Versailles, and the late Terry Calton of Gravois Mills.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Post Office Shelter in the Ha Ha Tonka State Park with his brother Cameron McCartney leading the service. Food will be served and bring your own drinks. All family and friends are in invited and encouraged to join us in celebrating the life of our Beau James McCartney.
