Brenda worked at greenhouses and loved plants, flowers, time gardening and animals. With a large, caring heart, she took in other children. Known as “Mom” or “Nan Nan,” Brenda dearly loved all children, including her dear grandkids and great-grandkids. Her favorite song was “Because He Lives,” and her favorite poem was “Footprints.” Affectionately called a mischievous prankster, Brenda loved others unconditionally and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Steve Morton.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Robert Johnston of the home; a son, Robby Johnston and wife Jennifer of Springfield, Missouri; a daughter, Tina Arnold and husband John of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, Tesha Moucheron, Tara Boyd, Jessica Johnston, Alexandria Johnston and Thomas Johnston; two great-grandchildren, Kylie Hudson and Bryson Hudson; two Grandson-in-laws, Travis Hudson and Aaron Boyd; two brothers, Allan Morton and Kim Morton; and three sisters, Carolyn Davenport, Darlene Wilson and Dana Swisher.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
