An exceptionally giving and loving person, Donna was a strong, Christian woman, never knowing a stranger. She dedicated time working as a preschool teacher, an interpreter for the deaf, a children’s director, and a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed quilting, singing, working with computers and gadgets, and active with senior care and the disabled. As the pillar of her family, Donna will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a stepmom, Donna May Law-Slavens.
Donna is survived by her husband, Dennis Childers of Denton, Texas; and four daughters, Denise Larson and husband Timothy of The Colony, Texas, Dehanna Haack and husband Barrett of Branson, Missouri, and Dorothy Bourque and husband Bernard of Branson, Missouri, and Deborah Lunday and husband Gerald of Royse City, Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Jake Haack, Sheldon Haack, Breanna Haack, Madison Haack, Tyler Larson, Greg Larson, Alex Larson, Caleb Bourque, Seth Bourque, Faith Lunday, Garrett Lunday, and Grant Lunday. Other survivors include four sisters, Carmen Ray of Georgia, Kathy Byerly of Georgia, Kristina Greenleaf of Georgia, and Valerie Miller of Michigan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Grace Bible Fellowship in Hollister, Missouri, with Pastor Bernard Bourque officiating.
