Geneva was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She held a Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in English Literature from the University of Kansas. A former resident of Overland Park, Kansas, Geneva then moved to Buffalo, Missouri, to be a caretaker for her mother. During her working years, Geneva was a financial advisor and loan officer. She was also a member of the Buffalo Garden Club and an avid KU basketball fan. Geneva was affectionately known for helping others as well as planning and hosting parties. Geneva loved people and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Geneva is survived by her three siblings: Connie (Harvey) Ring, Ronnie (Terri) Cline and Maryellen (Jerry) Banks; three nephews: Matthew Gushee, Adison Banks and Cody Banks; two nieces: Kate Anderson and Jennifer Gushee; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Montgomery Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri. Memorial contributions in memory of Geneva Cline may be made to the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.
