Harold served our country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed working on cars, and playing music. He had a beautiful voice. Most of all, Harold had many friends and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Hazel Breeden, Dee Hackel and Kitty Walden; and two brothers, Don Blood and Larry Smith.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Blood of the home; two daughters, Sheri Lester and husband David of Salem, Missouri, Donnell Blood of Bruner, Missouri; two sons, Brett Blood and wife Denise of Springfield, Missouri, Steve Blood and wife Camille of St. Clair, Missouri; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-children, Brock Smothers and wife Jennifer of Spring Hill, Kansas, Roxi Smothers of Spring Hill, Kansas; three step-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Kirk of Springfield, Missouri, Bobby Smith and wife Ellen of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and a sister, Debbie Suttles and husband Lee of Nixa, Missouri.
A celebration of life with full military honors will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Calvary Church, Forsyth, Missouri with Pastor Clint Block officiating. A memorial “Jam” will be held at the Rockaway Beach Community Center following the service. Burial will be at a later time in Liberty Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
