Harry protected and served the public as a Police Sergeant with the Ann Arbor Police Department in Michigan, retiring after 25 years of service. “Crash”, as he was known in the department, loved his work in law enforcement. After retirement, Harry enjoyed reading, writing poetry, his sailboat and playing board games with Ida. Most of all, he loved his family and they will miss his practical joking and his loving heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Delbert Jinkerson.
Harry is survived by his loving wife Ida of the home; his children, Matthew Jinkerson and wife Jodi of Michigan, Sherry Wobrock of Michigan, Connie Spain and husband Doug of Missouri, John Wobrock and wife Kim of Florida, Benjamin Jinkerson and wife Jody of Michigan; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Miller, Rebecca Bailey and husband Robert, Connery Spain, Brianna Wobrock, Anthony Wobrock, Madeline Jinkerson, Isabelle Jinkerson, Abigail Jinkerson, Priya Jinkerson and Evria Jinkerson; a great-granddaughter, Rockell Bailey; a sister, Vada Barstow of Colorado; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Living Word Church, Branson West, Missouri with pastors Dan and Joan Olson officiating.
