Jim worked for Holliday Hills Resort. He was a Mason, a pow-wow dancer and an artist that specialized in etching on rock. Jim worked with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoyed camping. Jim was a member of two Native American Gourd Societies, a member of the Arkansas Artists on Tour and the Arkansas Archeological Society. Most of all, Jim loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy Joe Peters; and a sister, Brenda Lee Peters-Perlsen.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Peters of the home; a daughter, Tina Peters of El Paso, Arkansas; a granddaughter, Rosalind Spears of Cabot, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Karson Scott Killough and Krestlynn Spears; a niece, Amy Jo Bruce of North Carolina; a nephew, Bruce Perlsen of Cabot, Arkansas; as well as many cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
