“J.O.”, as he was known by his co-workers and friends, worked for 30 years as a truck driver for Associated Wholesale Grocers. He never knew a stranger and was proud of his service to this nation. Jim could tell a great story and was a humble man with strong faith. He would go out of his way to help others in need. Jim enjoyed bowling, fishing and cars. He always wanted to soar with the eagles he loved so much. Most of all, he was a loving and caring father and grandfather and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Judy Jefferson; and a nephew, Adam Tilton.
Jim is survived by his four sons, James of Springfield, Missouri, Jeff of Dadeville, Missouri, Kevin of Leavenworth, Kansas, Korey and wife Chelsie of Reeds Spring, Missouri; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce and husband Andy, Janice and husband Charlie; an aunt, Emma; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
