Jim and Karen found a place on the lake where both enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Boating, fishing and just sitting on the dock and watching his family at play was what he enjoyed most. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Karen. He was preceded in death by his father Earl and is survived by his mother Frances, who resides in Fort Worth, Texas, with Jim’s sister Kate and her husband John Middlemas. He is also survived by daughter Karie and her husband Glenn Drayer of Branson, daughter Robin Hoyt of Blue Springs, Mo.; son Jon and his wife Terry of Lincoln, Mo.; nieces Elizabeth and Emily of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren Julie, Cody, Jacob, and Matthew Drayer, Laura and Amanda Holt, Renee and Megan Wise, and great-grandchildren Piper and Brycen. And one sister-in-law who thought he was a real peach.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Aurora for their kindness, especially Jim’s nurse Suretta.
A private service planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in memory of Jim Wise may be made to Hospice of Aurora.
