Joe proudly served our nation in the United States Army during World War II. He was a farmer and a rancher, even developing his own cross-breed of beef cattle. Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joey Blunk; a brother, Vernum Harold Blunk; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Kelly and Priscilla Robinson.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Donna Blunk; a son, John R. “J.R.” Blunk and wife Terry Lynn Smith-Blunk; grandchildren, David Phalen, Samantha Sherrill and John R. Blunk; a step-granddaughter, Casey Phalen; great-grandchildren, David Blunk and Johnathan Blunk; a great-great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace Phalen; adopted daughter, Mona Miller; a brother, Michael Blunk; a sister, Martha Blunk; a niece, Veda Howard; a nephew, Donald R. Robinson; as well as several other relatives and friends.
