Joel worked as an architectural draftsman until 1995 when he moved to the Kimberling City area. He worked at several restaurants in the area, and most recently delivered pizzas for Parmesan Pizzeria where he met many people and made a number of friends. Joel loved his cats and gardening. He was a gifted draftsman and the kindest man a person could meet. Joel will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have met him.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Tom Evans.
Joel is survived by his mother, Glenna Evans of Clive, Iowa; a brother, Bill Evans and wife Caryn of Urbandale, Iowa; two nieces, Jennifer Perry of Urbandale, Iowa and Meganne Masko and husband Matthew of Fordville, North Dakota; a great-nephew, Maxwell Masko, and a great-niece, Ashlyn Perry. He is also survived by his dear friend “Dozey” Cody of Kimberling City, Missouri.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the United Methodist Church of Kimberling City with Chaplain Craig Buck officiating. Burial will be held at a later time in Des Moines, Iowa.
