A great student of music, Joel poured his heart and soul into his singing. With a passion for outdoor adventures, Joel was in his element camping, floating, and cycling. He also enjoyed great literature and gaming. Never knowing a stranger, Joel was a true renaissance man, who excelled in all his endeavors. A graduate of Branson High School, he also attended College of the Ozarks and Ozarks Technical Community College. Most importantly, Joel was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. The memories of Joel will be treasured.
He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Don and Dorine “Nana” Dudley; Grandma Mildred Evans; and an aunt, Jane Evans.
Joel is survived by his loving parents, David and Susan Evans of Nixa, Missouri; sister, Kelly Evans of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Michael and sister-in-law Aimee Evans of Springfield, Missouri; and nephews, Judah and William.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. and memorial services at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at The Springs, 5500 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, Missouri 65804 with Pastor Tom Semmelbeck officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at a later time at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the Joel Evans Memorial Fund has been established in Joel’s honor.
