Larry retired as Chief Waste Conformation Tech with RES – WIPP in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He enjoyed gospel music, cookouts with his family and watching his kids and grandkids play sports. Larry was not a man of many words, but when he spoke, it was profound, and quite often funny. Having a humble and meek spirit, Larry was a Godly man that served his church and his heavenly Father faithfully. “Well done good and faithful servant!”- Matthew 25:23
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Asbury of the home; three daughters, Kara Prince of Branson, Laurenda Kathleen Lacktis of Branson, and Sharleen Strong and husband Gary of Carlsbad, New Mexico; a son, Larry Allen Asbury, Jr. and wife Heidi of Branson; seven grandchildren, Michael Prince and wife Melinda, Kyle Prince and wife Kayla, Joshua Lacktis, Sarah Strong, Samuel Strong, Tegan Allen Asbury, and Tensley Asbury; six great-grandchildren, Jason Allen Prince, Alivia Prince, Brenna Prince, Alton Prince, Londyn Prince and Liam Allen Prince; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering will be held at a later time in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Larry's grandson 's ministry Because Family at becausefamily.org/larryasbury.
