Known for his generosity, big heart and strength, Larry loved his family dearly. He retired as a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served three tours in Korea as well as Vietnam. Larry was an Ole Miss Rebel fan, enjoyed fishing, and watched “Judge Judy.”
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Rodgers.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Susan Rodgers of the home; a son, Dean Rodgers and wife Terri of Flippin, Arkansas; a daughter, Erin Ferranto, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Michele Nichols and husband Jason, Sabrina Kreinbrook and husband Dexter, Heather Hess and Jared Dobbs, Brooke Rodgers, Samantha Ferranto and Joey Ferranto; and eight great-grandchildren, Isabella Kreinbrook, Makenzie Kreinbrook, Kaidyn Dobbs, Tucker Arthurs, Whitney White, Keagan Nichols, Hannah Nichols and Chloe Nichols. He is also survived by two sisters, Ginger Rodgers of Greenville, Mississippi, and Linda Fava of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
