L.J. proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching his New Orleans Saints play football when he was not playing poker or involved in a lively game of bingo. He was a foreman at the Avondale Shipyard. L.J. will be missed by many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings: brothers Marty, Ricky, Bobby, Billy and a sister Lizzy; and a grandson Paul.
L.J. is survived by his wife Lisa Doherty Wactor; daughter Ann Marie Strada and boyfriend Mike of Metairie, Louisiana; son Johnathan Poloma and wife Raquel of Texas; daughter Daisy Sheasby and Kelly of Waggaman, Louisiana; son Joey Wactor and wife Lora of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter Bridgett Wactor of Mississippi; daughter Mandi Wesner; five grandkids: Schlief Sheasby, Kelly Sheasby, Lane Sheasby, Dominic Strada, Devin Wactor, and one who is still on the way; nephew Tommy and niece Heather. He is also survived by brother Jake Wactor and wife Debbie of Terrytown, Louisiana, sister Dottie of New Orleans, brother Junior Wactor of Arizona, sister Hilda Wactor of Mississippi, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Faith and Wisdom Church, in Branson, Missouri, with Pastor Gary McSpadden officiating.
