In 1951, Marilyn married the love of her life, Donald Arlen McCoin, and started a family of four, Daniel Arlen McCoin, Michael Don McCoin, Marsa Lyn McCoin Epps and Penni Michelle McCoin Constalunga. Most of their young adult life was spent in Crete, Illinois, where Marilyn was a hairstylist and salon owner. As her career progressed she became an educator in the cosmetology industry. She had a successful beauty school, enriching the lives of many future hair stylists. She was an elite educator for the Hair America Team and traveled the United States teaching advance education to licensed professionals in the industry.
Their family grew through time to include six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Marilyn and Donald move to Branson, Missouri, in 1990 to live out their senior years in the beautiful Ozarks that they loved.
Marilyn was truly an inspiration and blessing to all who knew her. Her ability to bring joy and love to all she met is the legacy that will bless many for years to come. She will be missed.
A life celebration service will be held at Grand Plaza Hotel in the Sunset Room, 245 N. Wildwood Drive, Branson, on Friday, July 29, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
