Merle was born on October 4, 1940 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana the daughter of C. D. and Fronie L Farmer. She moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 1972, retired in 2001, and dedicated her remaining time to caring for her children and grandchildren, as well as her church.
Merle is survived by daughter, Monica Taylor of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Tommy Bouck and grandson Taylor of Fayetteville, Arkansas; son, John and daughter-in-law Brooke Taylor of Fayetteville, Arkansas and their children, Jack and Lauren; sister, Judy Remedes and husband Chester of Shreveport, Louisiana; nephews Kevin Farmer and Todd Remedes; nieces Kim Hicks and Becky Loftis; and, brother-in-law Sam Loftis of Monroe, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Modelle Loftis, and brother, Larry Farmer.
A celebration of life will be held 10:00 am, Monday, April 3, 2017, at Christ’s Church, 525 W. 15th Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas, with Pastor Jim Huffman officiating. Inurnment will be held privately with her family in Many, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Merle may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.
