Moose was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Dixie. Singing karaoke and playing his harmonica was a favorite past time for Morce. He enjoyed cruising around on his motorcycle and being in the outdoors while hunting and fishing and even has a trophy deer that he got with his bow. His dog Brandi is missing his attention. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Moose is survived by his loving wife Rose of the home, four daughters: Loraine, of Missouri, Amanda, of Missouri, Cecelia, of Moore, Oklahoma, and Skylar, of Kansas; brother, Walt Davenport and wife Pam of Washington, brother, Thurman Davenport of Wichita, Kansas, sister, Sherry Waun and husband Mike of Branson, Missouri, brother, Mike Davenport and wife Deeanna of Wichita, Kansas, sister, Sheryl Burnette and husband James of Wichita, Kansas, brother, Bobbie Davenport of Checotah, Oklahoma; Rose’s children: Tim, Kathy, Susie, Ted, and Avis Glenn; Missy and Matt Brown; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Grace Assembly in Branson, Missouri, at 9:00 AM on Saturday August 26, 2017. Inurnment will be 2:00 P.M. in the Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas, with military honors, where he will be placed next to his mother and father.
