Olive Cecelia Parsons, age 91, of Branson, Missouri passed away December 19, 2017. She came into this world January 20, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of James and Stella (O’Donnell) Parsons. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Olive worked for General Motors for 31 years. Having a strong faith, she was very involved with her church, Our Lady of the Lake in Branson. Olive was also a member of the singing group, “Sweet Adelines.” She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. Most of all, Olive always believed in God first and her family second. This increased the love for her family and she always called her nieces and nephews on their birthdays.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Sister Maura Jean, Gloria, and Sylvia; and her brother, Thomas.
Olive is survived by her son, Phil (Wendy) Parsons of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren, Arwen and Amber Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in mid-January with Father David Hulshof officiating.
