Peggy enjoyed praying and singing to the Lord, passing the message of Jesus to others, and attending church every Sunday. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, babysitting, working with children, and helping others. She also dedicated time to a variety of jobs through the years, including electronics and sewing. Not only was she a Girl Scout Leader, she also loved watching God’s creation. Most of all she loved the Lord and her family. Peggy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton R. Horschler; a son, William Duffus; godchildren, Sharon McNamara, Katherine Bick, Carl Minnick Jr, and Frankie Minnick; an uncle, William George; one sister, Flo and husband Ozzie Lyons; six brothers, John and wife Helen Minnick, George and wife Lucille Minnick, Art and wife Naomi Minnick, Carl and wife Lois Minnick, Calvin Minnick, Glen and wife Rosemary Minnick; brothers and sister-in-laws, Ernest Peterson, Horschlers: Ruth, Gladys, Clarence, John, Art, Marge, Edna, Eleanor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy is survived by a daughter, PeggyLynn Knoblich and husband Elliott; sister-in-laws, Ethel Peterson, Alice Minnick and Jenette Horschler; her godchildren, Judith Ross, Scott Minnick, Ronald Peterson and Chris Minnick; Nana’s grandchildren, Belinda Coley and husband Kevin, Regina, Julie, Dawn, Jenifer, Niki, Eric, David and wife Laura, Donald and wife Rachel and Jason; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Shania, Mandi, Stephanie, Timothy and wife Jessica,, Aaron, Brandon, Kevin, Josh, Zeke and Jeremiah; 27 great-great grandchildren; eight great-great-great-grandchildren; as well as “Tonti’s” numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. and “Celebration of Life” at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Forsyth United Methodist Church, 14399 US-160, with Pastor Larry Lawman.
At St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 N Broadway, Joliet, Illinois, On Tuesday, September 27, 2016, a visitation will be held at 5:00-9:00 p.m. and again at 8:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September, 28, 2016, with memorial service (“Celebration of Life”) at 10:00 a.m. and burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park II, 23060 Jefferson St, Joliet, Illinois, with Rev Karl Hess officiating.
