Family meant everything to Phillip. He married the love of his life, Eleanor Freeman, in 1947. He could build most anything. If he needed something for his business, he would build it. Phillip built his own boats and even his own homes. Phillip invented the first portable spot welder. He loved to fish and had a passion for photography. Phillip will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor (Freeman) Griskell of the home; his children, Sandra Tanner of Oregon, James Griskell of Missouri, Thomas Griskell and wife Deborah of Missouri, Teresa George of Illinois, Catherine Nolette and husband George of Florida, Laura Shaver and husband Brian of Minnesota, Linda Messenger and husband Sean of Nevada, and Dawn Frivaldo and husband Dean of California; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A mass will be held at a later date followed by private burial.
