Bob proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of Branson Masonic Lodge No. 587 and attended Closer Walk Church in Blue Eye.
He worked various jobs, including the City of Charlotte Fire Department. Bob enjoyed following the Bassmaster Elite Tournament Trail, watching old westerns, listening to country music, and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with family, his dog, “Blu,” his Masonic brothers, and his church family. He was proceeded in death by his parents, two wives, Hazel Inez (McCoy) McGuirt and Ruby (Hood) McGuirt; a son, Danny McGuirt; three brothers, Clarence, Willie and J.D.; and four sisters, Pearl, Cora Lee, Mae and Ada.
Bob is survived by a son, Don McGuirt and wife Joleen of Blue Eye, Missouri; a daughter, Robin Hudgins of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Joseph and wife Angela of Greensboro, North Carolina; Angela DeVaun, Candy Fruge, Sandy Tully, all of Charlotte, North Carolina; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held at Oakmont Community Center, 2308 State Hwy. 86, Ridgedale, Missouri, November 12th at 6:30 pm In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the charity of their choice.
