At a very early age, Ron would race cars at Capital Beach in Lincoln. Known as “Hoppy,” at Meal Loadout, he retired from ADM after 30 years of service. Ron was often seen in his overalls, telling stories much to the enjoyment of those listening. He enjoyed camping and loved children. Most of all, Ron was a loving and caring man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents; his foster parents, Bud and Dorothy; two wives, Cozette (Close) Wallman, and Elenore (Felton) Wallman; as well as a sister, Helen.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Ginger (Felton) Wallman of the home; his children, Christine Wallman of Chestertown, Maryland, Ronald G. “Rusty” Wallman, Jr. and wife Denise of Odessa, Missouri, Debra Tubbs and husband Michael of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Cassandra Staehr and husband Dan, Amanda Perez and husband David, Brandon Tubbs, Brianna and Brain Wallman; step-children/grandchildren, Rick, April and Heather; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Wallman of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bob Wallman of Friend, Nebraska; and two sisters, Harriet Felton and Clarabelle Roberts, both of Lincoln, Nebraska.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Harrison, with Rev. Mark Donald officiating. There will be a celebration/memorial to follow in April for extended family and friends to gather in memory of Ron.
