Stan proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a truck driver by trade. Stan enjoyed gardening, hobby boats and puzzles. A hospitable and giving man, Stan could always be counted on and was thoughtful. Most of all, Stan Shan loved his dogs and his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, Alice Watson; and a nephew, Robert Watson.
Stan is survived by his wife, Marie Shan of the home; his daughters, Jeri Lyn Schrenk and spouse Dana of Avondale, Arizona, Jennifer Monroe of Illinois; a son, Jessie Shan of Blyth, California; his grandchildren, Cody Pagakis, Danielle Carson, Brandi Baker, Michael Weber, Keith Knoll and Felicia Shan; 11 greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Patricia Ann Watson of Illinois, Janice Moore of Texas, Annette Harden of Florida; a brother, Charles Shan of Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews.
