Tad worked for the city of Branson in the Utilities Department and volunteered as a coach for the Branson School Trap Shooting Team. He loved music, old cars, fishing and spending time with family. With a generous sense of humor, Tad will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Tad is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl Houston of Walnut Shade, Missouri; three sons: Derek Houston and wife Nicole of Forsyth, Missouri, Travis Houston of Newport News, Virginia, and Cory Houston of Forsyth, Missouri; his mother, Phyllis Houston of Topeka, Kansas; a brother, Brett Houston of Liberty, Missouri; and a sister, Tara Sawyers of Topeka, Kansas.
Visitation for Tad Houston will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, at Branson United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at Branson United Methodist Church in Branson, Missouri, with Pastor Eric Derks officiating. In Lieu of flowers we will be accepting donations for the Tad Houston Memorial Fund to give determined youth trap shooters the opportunity to succeed.
