Tom was loved, respected and adored by all who knew him. He never judged anyone, and was such a wonderful example for his friends and family. Tom served four years in the Air Force and worked at Bendix Corporation in Missouri, Texas Instruments in Texas, KX11 Channel 12 in Texas, and retired from Glen’s Supermarket in Forsyth, Missouri.
Tom loved to read, tinker with electronics and engines, and spend time in the woods.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wesley Johnson and Margie Mae (Meisenheimer), and grandson, Jeffrey Jubell.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Hicks) Johnson of Kissee Mills, MO; sons, Mark and (Amy) Johnson of Pearland, TX, Jeff and (Stacy) Johnson of Whitesboro, TX; daughters, Wendy and (Danny) Daniels of Sheridan, WY, Cindy and (Jim) Tinkle of Russellville, AR; grandsons: Christopher Jubell, Tanner, Preston, Logan and Samuel Johnson; his brother Norman Johnson of Raymore, MO; niece, Tracy Johnson of Leawood, KS; and nephew, Patrick Johnson of Lee’s Summit, MO.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Thomas Johnson may be made to the Genesis body donor program for the advancement of science.
