Tom proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He then ran his own business, T.C. Porter Plumbing and Electric for many years and then on to doing maintenance at Silver Dollar City. Tom’s free time was spent doing woodworking, hunting morel mushrooms, having family time, and watching the Chiefs play. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his wife, Cindy (Cureton) Porter; sister, Karen Porter; children: Trevor, Amanda, Calvin, Timothy, Christina, Noah, Drake, Tripp, and Kylie; stepchildren: Jason, Amanda, Zach, and Melissa; grandchildren: Madison, Logan , Gracie, Max, Kennon, Hannah, Thomas, Hannah, Jack, Jake, Shelby, Nathaniel, Yessinia, Kyler, Kaitlyn, Layklyn, Haley, Ada, and Ty.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the Hollister Historic Train Depot, 312 Esplanade Drive, Hollister, Missouri, and burial to follow with full military honors at 1:00 PM in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
