In her earlier days, Virginia loved working on the farm and fishing. She was the vice-president of the VFW post at one time and active in the American Legion. In the later years, she enjoyed meeting and interacting with the tourists in Branson while she worked at some of the shows. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and was a great cook. Her passion was feeding and watching the hummingbirds. Sometimes you couldn’t walk out of the house without being swarmed by all her lovely friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Thomas Hanner; son, Gary Dale Hanner; half-brother, Odel Butler; half-sister, Hazel Gails; and grandson, Patrick Lee Hanner.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Lee Hanner; daughter, Debrah Pyland of Blue Eye, Missouri; grandchildren: Alisha Pyland of Blue Eye, Missouri, Ashley Sims of Greenville, Mississippi, William Thomas Hanner II of Harrison, Arkansas, Gary Dale Hanner II of Harrison, Arkansas, and Stephanie Dawn Wagner of Harrison, Arkansas; and many great-grandchildren.
