Wendell proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was proud to be a veteran. He also worked in management as a trainmaster with the railroad, where he retired. His bachelor of arts degree is from Phillips University, where he played golf and basketball on scholarship. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, trout fishing and camping. Most importantly and most dear in his life was his love for his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gene Dozier, Robert Dozier and Richard Dozier.
Wendell is survived by his loving wife Sandra of the home; a son, Wendell Scott Dozier and wife Keri of Islamorada, Florida; a daughter, Brenda Quinn of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren, Rebecca Oliphant, Jacob Scott Dozier, Andrew Quinn and Matthew Quinn; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Oliphant, McKenzie Quinn, Madelyn Quinn and William Quinn.
