Known for her huge heart, Whitney loved everyone and her family. Whitney reached out and cared for others and was a Catholic. She enjoyed time reading traveling, and expressing her artistic personality. Whitney held a special place in her heart for Steve and was a wonderful grandmother and parent. She will be dearly missed for her loving, caring nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Brandon Franz and Jeffery Irwin; and a niece, Katie Ferrari.
Whitney is survived by a daughter, Meghan Cockerham of Elk Grove, California; a son, Garrett Hedrick of Tacoma, Washington; a grandson, Charlie Cockerham of Elk Grove, California; her spouse, Steve Balbuena and his daughter Tiyana Balbuena of Elk Grove, California; her biological mother, Penny Brandhorst of Kimberling City, Missouri; a sister, Laura Brandhorst and spouse Ron Ellison of Kimberling City, Missouri; a brother, Bob Irwin and wife Laura of Idaho; a sister, Letitia Tognotti; a niece, Ariana Ferrari; two nephews, Kenneth Ferrari and Kevin Ferrari; and an aunt, Lavonne Irwin of Dallas, Texas.
Services will be held at a later time.
