He battled health issues for many years.
Chevy was the son of Carl and Francis Chevalier. He was born August 7, 1942, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He has a brother, Robert of Battlefield, Missouri and two sisters, Sharon and Janet Ann.
He was a father of two sons, Rick and Aaron; two daughters, Jo and Danelle. He was a proud grandfather of eight beautiful granddaughters, Rachelle, Sha-Ree, Amy, Cindy, Taryn, Naomi, Lillian and Danahka. As his family grew, he received four great-granddaughters; 2 ½ great-grandsons; three nieces and one nephew.
Chevy has lived in the area for many years. He worked for the State of Missouri as a State Park Superintendent and he also sold cars at Tri-Lakes Ford for several years.
His love for animals was apparent as our home is full of dogs and cats. Most of the animals we have had been abandoned at one time. When he saw an animal in distress or being neglected he always brought it home with him, continuing to fill our home. He loved to be out on the lake and spend the day with our granddaughters, family and friends. Sharing his life with those he loved was one of his greatest joys.
He will be greatly missed by us all.
A celebration of life for Chevy will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Sunfest Market Strip Mall next to Family Pharmacy in the Cross Creek Center, Branson, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Taney County Animal Control or the Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society.
