With an artistic mind, Winter enjoyed painting, drawing and gardening. In the great outdoors, she spent time camping, floating and appreciating the beauty of flowers in nature. Winter cared for animals, including her dog Shorty. She dedicated many of her working years in a paper factory. Most importantly, Winter was proud mother, devoted to her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her Uncle Bud (Alice), Uncle Jack (Laverne), Uncle Ted, Uncle Bernie, Aunt Kathleen, Uncle Pat, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Mary.
Winter is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Gary and Marjorie Cross; a son, Tommy Plante; Madeline Berry, who was like a daughter; Adam Wood and Matthew Oloson, who were like sons; three aunts: Clela, Pat and Cleo; three siblings: Carl “Butch” Cross (Janet), Tracy Asher (Thomas), and Gary Cross (spouse); and nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family will gather privately at a later time for inurnment at the Elijah Church of Christ Cemetery in Ozark County, Missouri.
